RUK / RenewableUK Wind Turbine medical is an assessment of fitness to work on offshore and land based projects for the renewable energy sector. An RenewableUK working group has defined the content and criteria of the medical.
ToHealth can provide these medicals also known as RenewableUK or RUK Medicals from our clinic near Waterloo station in London. These medicals are designed to detect and assess any medical conditions that may compromise safety by creating a risk of falling or sudden incapacity requiring rescue and assure capability for regular climbing of vertical ladders and for working in hot and/or confined spaces. Together these ensure an individual’s fitness to work within the wind turbine environment.
The RUK Medical was developed because neither the Maritime Cost Agency nor the OGUK medical certification schemes were designed to reflect the specific issues that are particular to the renewable energy sectors.
